Technician

Technicians are a key component of patient care and the efficient operation of any pharmacy. Advance Care Pharmacy, a rapidly growing pharmacy, is hiring. We are looking for a pharmacy technician with retail and/or billing experience to join our team at 280 Indian Springs Road in Indiana, PA. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, friendly, self-directed, interested in learning new skills, and dependable.

Duties and Responsibilities

Data entry, benefits verification, prior authorizations, and insurance billing
Medication and supply preparation
Maintaining an organized work area
Patient/Caregiver interactions, by phone and in person
Communicate with physician staff in a friendly and efficient manner
Inventory ordering and management

Salary/Benefits

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.50 – $23.00 per hour

Required Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
Previous experience working in a pharmacy or clinical setting
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
